What did you do during this Spring Break? Here are several things I accomplished last week: 1. Built the Maker Table for Video Blogging There're still things need to be improved such as: Better camera mount which can be adjustable easily. Decrease or even get rid of the vibration of the camera when filming. Improve the lightning system to have a better image quality. Anyway, It looks pretty neat :D 2. Completed the Seth Godin's Freelancer online course on Udemy: Course URL: https://www.udemy.com/seth-godin-freelancer-course/ Introduction video: Lessons learnt: Seth worked me through many different situations which inspired and prepared me for the freelancer's work. And what I got after finished this course are how I can control my life better as a human being, not just a freelancer, and how I can make a dent in the universe. You should take this course too!

B2B SALES What is your client afraid their boss will think if they say yes? There's someone else can do the job with the cheaper price. What would your client tell their boss to explain why they bought from you?  There's no one else in the market can provide such services and as good as mine. I'm also a good communicator who is confident and have better after-sale benefit. What would you like them to tell their boss? I'm the only one who can do the job in a unique and remarkable way and will help them to solve the problem.

RANK YOURSELF Compared to others who do what you do, rank yourself on: reputation, knowledge, expertise, tools, handiness. From 0 (worst) to 10 (Best) * Reputation - 5 Pretty well known in the community, especially the beginners. * Knowledge - 6 Understand the basic and how thing works. But need more research and hand-on experience. * Expertise - 6 Good at problem solving and figuring things out. Still need to invest more time in practical cases. * Tools - 9 Pretty much as a hacker. It means that I can use whatever available. * Handiness - 8 Can be reachable easily via email. Which will you invest in developing? Doing research on the technologies, read more papers, discuss more on the mailing list, help others to solve their problems.

WHAT DO YOU PROVIDE? What do people buy when they buy something from you? They buy my knowledge, my understanding of the Open EdX system, basically, they're buying my technical skill. Leave out the easy, repetitive, generic stuff... What you are doing that’s difficult? The understanding of the system that requires lot of research time.

Our team @ UNS  is deploying an edX-platform instance in a VPS. The openness of edX helps us a lot in saving resources and time to plan out the architecture of the project. But, because the edX-platform has gone so far, the code base has grown enormously with a bunch of technologies, It will be a challenge for us to master everything to operate the platform efficiently. There are pros and cons. It seems like everything will be OK the first time we look at edX. I meant the advantages of using Open edX. It is not only because of a huge community behind Open edX, but also because this is a great chance for us to learn and to create value for our Vietnamese education system. The edX platform seems to have a well documentations which helping us to deploy it easily and in a short period of time.
